Head of Estimating

Staff Responsibilities:

Job Purpose:

Purchasing of paper and other materials, stock management and stock control through Navision. Providing prices for Estimating and obtain special making prices and timings.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. To purchase all paper and envelopes for the Dagenham site, ensuring best quality and price.
  2. To follow company procedures for auditing ensuring all products have Purchase Orders and suppliers are aware of our policies.
  3. Check job ticket prior to ordering to ensure the correct size and possible saving.
  4. Ensure good liaison with Client Services and Planning to ensure stock availability, keeping warehouse volumes as low as feasibly possible.
  5. Manage all in-house stock ensuring that this is used rather than purchased.
  6. Implement and maintain client specific paper rates and profiles within Navision - including any rebates. Create and maintain a process for keeping these up to date.
  7. Orchestrate Sales / Supplier visits 'by appointment' only with paper buyer.
  8. Keep sample area up to date and ensure this is kept orderly.
  9. Always act with honesty and integrity.
  10. Follow the company Health & Safety policies.
  11. Attend and assist with any training needs the company may request.
