WORKING HOURS: Full Time - Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week
THE COMPANY: Based mainly in Banbridge, near Belfast, our client is one of the leading Chartered Accountancy practices in Northern Ireland with international associates and a wide range of clients that have operations throughout Ireland, England and Scotland. We have gained a well-deserved reputation for providing a quality, attentive and progressive service to our clients as well as obtaining strong connections to all the major financial institutions as a result of business advisory services provided to them for their own clients.
THE ROLE: Our client is looking to recruit Graduate Trainee Accountants to join their accounts and audit department in the Banbridge office in October 2018.
You will work on a wide range of clients from various sectors including accounts preparation of small owner managed businesses including sole-traders, partnerships and limited companies as well as charities and solicitors.
As your experience and knowledge grow you will obtain further responsibility for the accounts preparation and/or audit of larger limited companies as well as performing business advisory services preparing business plans and cash flow projections to support funding support from financial and government institutions.
THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidates will have an interest in commencing a career in accountancy, have good communication skills and will be able to work as part of a team. Any previous experience working in an accounting environment and the use of accounting software packages will be desirable but not essential for the Graduate Trainee Accountant position.
Key experience essential for the role of Graduate Trainee Accountant based in Banbridge near Belfast:
Will live within a commutable distance of the Banbridge near Belfast area
A 2:2 degree classification in any discipline will be considered
Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
An accountancy/business related degree is highly advantageous but not essential
