Finance Assistant - Peterborough Regional College

Peterborough Regional College is a large, successful college of further and higher education.
Interviews for this role will be held on the 28 th & 29 th March 2018.
We are looking for a friendly, proactive and committed person to join our busy College finance team to process financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner. The position will report to the Finance Coordinator as part of a team of four Finance Assistants whom cover all of the tasks listed below for the College. Cash handling experience is also required to cover tasks within our cash office, though mainly as absence cover. The exact mix of task responsibilities will be determined partly by the skill set of the successful candidate and partly by a review being undertaken of the current allocation of tasks across the team.
- Input purchase invoices.
- Maintain Petty Cash floats.
- Expense form processing.
- Credit Card reconciliation.
- Purchase order system maintenance.
- Raise sales ledger invoices.
- Internet bank payments and weekly Bacs run.
- Credit control
- Reconcile and input daily taking
This post is permanent and full time (37 hours per week). The working hours will usually be 8.30 am to 5.00 pm from Monday to Thursday and 8.30 am to 4.30 pm on Friday. However, the working hours will vary on occasions dependent on the needs of the College.
AAT Intermediate qualification is desirable but not essential. Training support may be available.
