Financial Controller. Our client, a successful sales and distribution business, part of an US group, is seeking to recruit a Financial Controller. Candidates should possess strong accounting skills as well as commercial acumen, in order to contribute to the profitability of the business.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will manage a small team and have responsibility for the following:
*Manage and control the company's balance sheet while facilitating the improvement of working capital
*Operate as a key member of the Management team and act in coordination and cooperation across functions to achieve profitable growth
*Operate as a key member of the company's Finance function
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Facilitate the preparation, analysis, and communication of financial statements, corporate reporting package, monthly financial forecasts, audits, physical inventory and the operating budgets.
*Proactively communicate with others in the company the financial results and highlight KPI's, key drivers and trends.
*Direct the extension of credit and the collection of cash.
*Ensure proper controls are in place for all transactions, financial, inventory, etc. and take action in those areas as needed.
*Take on special projects and analysis as required.
*Lead/facilitate/coordinate the Budget process, financial forecasting and associated follow ups.
* Operate as a key member of the European Leadership team.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/OTHER SKILLS:
* Qualified ACA, CIMA or ACCA,
*5-7 years experience in financial management
*Problem solving & decision making ability
*Strong technical/PC skills
*Strong written and verbal communication skills
*Pro-active
*Problem solver
*High energy & strong interpersonal skills
*Results oriented
*Aptitude for quick learning
