Marketing Assistant - Lead Management
Job Description and Responsibilities
The Marketing Assistant will support the regional Books Marketing and Sales teams through managing inspection copy and media review process for UK/IR, Europe, MENA, Japan
Key Accountabilities
- Inspection copy (IC) management
- Process print and ebook IC leads received from Books' websites adhering to business rules for UK/IR, Europe, MENA, Japan
- Manage the MIS inbox - approve/reject international leads as indicated by sales reps
- Process ad hoc IC requests - create new contacts and opportunities on Salesforce
- Update contact information on Salesforce
- Flag request backlogs in peak seasons and train temps/MAs to help process leads
- Manage the VitalSource requests - download and mail merge contacts to drive them to request via T&F sites
- Provide weekly reports
Media review copy request management
- Download and process requests on a daily basis, passing print orders to Access system and updating MC to reflect status
- Process e orders via using VS SKU to create unique code and emailing contacts
- Seek authorization where required
- Update approved reviewer database
- Manage booksreview inbox - customer queries, additional information, escalate/forward to correct Editorial or Marketing contact, pass received reviews to Author Team
Ad hoc
- Support UK/US Marketing team as required
Knowledge and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in a marketing or sales environment, understanding of the role of marketing and the importance of lead management
- Knowledge and ability with IT systems including core MS Office packages (Word, Excel, Power Point), databases, CRMs, email creation platforms and/or other bespoke IT systems.
- Able to demonstrate commercial awareness
