This is a superb opportunity to join the support staff of this vibrant and successful Academy Trust.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and versatile person for the following role:

CURRICULUM AREA LEARNING SUPERVISOR - CRESS

Grade 5, Actual salary £15,057 - £16,795

37 hours per week, Mon-Fri (term time only)

The de Ferrers Academy has gained a reputation for high levels of academic achievement, demonstrated by another extremely successful year for our students at GCSE and A-level.  We have a positive ethos and excellent staff/student relationships, together with a commitment to the personal and professional development of our staff.  In recent years, the Academy has developed a national reputation for innovation and success in Learning technologies and ICT.   The Academy is an Apple Regional Training Centre, with 1:1 use of iPads for all Key Stage 4 and 5 students.

We are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to take responsibility for classes during a teacher’s absence.   Specialist subject knowledge is not essential, but key attributes are flexibility and an approachable and positive manner.  Cover is determined on a daily basis, and when not assisting in the classroom, you will be required to support in administrative tasks, preparation of resources/materials and contributing to extra-curricular activities.  This post is full time, term time only.

All prospective candidates are very welcome to visit the Academy, to tour and meet with members of the faculty, and meet with our students.  We are situated on the rural outskirts of Burton upon Trent, within easy access of Birmingham, Nottingham and Derby.  As the academy of choice for our local area, you will feel part of a supported community and, most importantly, a warm and friendly environment in which to educate our young people.  We offer an employee reward package which includes car leasing discounts and our own independent travel consultant. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to the successful candidate.

To apply for this role, please complete a support staff application form.  This can be accessed via the Academy’s website, or alternatively please contact Samantha Lawless on 01283 247700.

Please note completed applications should be received by 9:00 am on the closing date.

Closing date: Monday 16th April 2018

Interview date: Thursday 19th April 2018
