Trainee 3d Software Moulding Engineer (Freeform)
Trainee 3d Software Moulding Engineer (Freeform): Nottingham, UK

About the Job
Do you want to work in a world class toolroom, producing the best fantasy miniatures in the world?
Are you excited by working in an environment where you will be expected to continually challenge what you do and to improve it by using the right methods? Would using the latest 3D Tooling software to ensure error free digital design files appeal to you?
You will be responsible for optimising digital files provided by our Miniatures Designers. These digital files are used to create the injection mould tools that produce our miniatures, so you will need to ensure they are fit for the tooling process. You will also be responsible for completing projects to a schedule. These projects require exceptional attention to detail to ensure they are fit to be incorporated into the final tool design. Every new product brings to the table new challenges and so you’ll need to be the type of person who thrives on this and will work tirelessly to get the desired results.
You will be using Geomagics Touch X hardware and software to carry out your role, this is normally used within a design environment, but for this role it is purely used for tooling preparation purposes only ( this is not a design role ).
We know it’s hard to overcome some of the problems you will encounter on the way to producing error free digital files. Ensuring the files represent what the Miniatures Designer intended while meeting the standards necessary for them to be used in an injection mould tool can be a real challenge and it requires great relationships and having the right conversations with the right people at the right time.
Working at Games Workshop
We are looking for people who will do their best to understand the needs of the company and to put those needs first when they are at work. Because of this we believe that what you are like, hence the attitude you show to work and the way you choose to behave is even more important than your skills or experience.
