Contract role for 17 weeks

Hours

37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm - NO WEEKENDS

Pay

GBP160 - GBP240 per day dependant on experience. (negotiable)

Company

Established nearly 30 years ago, my client manufactures a range of Air Conditioning products and is a provider of comfort cooling systems within the HVAC industry. They manufacture their own products and provide Planned, Preventative Maintenance contracts for all air-conditioning products and associated building services. Not only do they manufacture but they Install, Commission and offer ongoing support in this specialised area.

The Job

The role is for a contracted Site Supervisor to oversee the upgrade and conversion of a large retail warehouse in respect of the installation/upgrade of the existing air conditioning equipment and the movement of large refrigeration equipment on site. The successful candidate DOES NOT need to have air conditioning knowledge, the role is to oversee and supervise various workmen and subcontractors (Scaffolders, Electricians, Floor Cutters, Screeding, Groundworks, Crane drivers etc).

The Site Supervisor will be overseeing the project in its entirety which includes the following works being completed:-

  • Installation of High-Level Ductwork
  • Installation of Power Supplies
  • Digging of trenches
  • Earth works
  • Crane Lifts
  • Managing deliveries
  • Ensuring contractors Risk Assessment Method Statements are adhered to (RAMS)
  • Ensuring all People of site have correct PPE
  • Management of the site Health & Safety files
  • Monitoring the quality of the works being carried out

The project is to commence on 19/03/2018 and will run for approximately 17 weeks.

About You

You should be able to demonstrate the following:-

* Proven experience in a similar position

* Hold a "Gold" coloured Supervisor Level CSCS Card

* Experience of overseeing a team of work staff and sub-contractors

Desirable skills/qualifications/experience

* Ability to communicate at all different levels both internally and externally

* Knowledge of required PPE / H&S on sites
