Driver

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Class 2 Driver to join a long-standing and market leading construction company. Based in Rowlands Gill, Newcastle, the successful Class 2 Driver will earn a highly competitive salary.

The company was originally founded in the 1830’s and was managed by four successive generations of the founder’s family. Since then, it has expanded and diversified hugely and has landed multi-million pound contracts with the likes of Center Parcs and Lidl (to name a few). As a Class 2 Driver you will be responsible for:

• Loading and unloading goods
• Carry out vehicle checks to ensure it is safe to drive
• Driving rigid LGVs

The successful Class 2 Driver will be comfortable with manually loading and unloading goods by hand. In addition, the following skills and qualifications are required:

• Class 2 license (clean ideally)
• Crane license is preferable
• Excellent organisational skills
• Enthusiastic, polite and positive attitude
