Production Operative / Engineer

This company manufactures a range of standard and general purpose Resistance welding machines for automotive, aerospace and other industrial applications. They also renovate and rebuild second hand machines for their customers.

Job Description

Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Mechanical Fitting
- Cleaning / Painting
- Assembly
- General factory duties which include emptying bins, sweeping factory floor and tidying areas.
- To undertake any reasonable ad hoc tasks consistent with the position to meet the business needs.

To be considered for the role, they looking for the following requirements:
- A flexible approach to working hours to support client requirements, 39 hour week with opportunities for overtime.
- Mechanical or manufacturing background, having developed skills working with hand tools with the aim of repairing or building machines.
- Formal technical qualifications in manufacturing, vehicle fitting or similar to city and guilds or NVQ2, although work experience in a mechanical fitting environment will also be considered.
- Forklift qualifications desirable but not essential.
- Good communication skills with fellow team members and management
- To be able to follow health and safety regulations and the companies strict process
