Access Training is a well-established leading training organisation working in and around the East Midlands.  We provide a range of employment related training including Full Time Programmes, Apprenticeships, 24+ Loans and work experience opportunities for adults and young people from diverse backgrounds that will enhance individuals’ employment potential and qualifications.  In our most recent Ofsted inspection in November 2015 we retained our “Good” rating and we are continuously developing and improving our provision.

The role:

The Managing Director will provide vision and leadership and be responsible for the strategic and operational delivery of contracts.

Along with the Board of Directors, you will ensure the strategic plan and objectives are achieved and new business opportunities are maximised through external funding, partnership working and the identification of new training services.

You will lead on facilities management, resource planning and budget setting to promote a value for money ethos within the organisation.

You will ensure that processes are in place to continually review performance through self assessment and continuous improvement action plans in preparation for Ofsted inspections.


You will have significant experience at senior management and leadership level with experience or knowledge in the field of education, training or similar.

Experience of managing robust performance and management frameworks through strong staff management and leadership skills.

Procurement or contractual management experience.

You will have excellent communication skills, including the ability to articulate views and visions.

Strong leadership and management skills which engender viability and growth.

Highly innovative.

A strong commitment to quality with the ability to influence, promote and evaluate it, throughout the organisation.
