Part-time Fiction Editor (3 days) 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

We're looking for an experienced and creative Editor to work within our busy Fiction Editorial department.

This is an opportunity to work across the fiction list, playing a key role alongside a talented team in delivering books from some of the biggest names in children's publishing, from commercial bestsellers to evergreen classics and award-winners.

We're looking for someone efficient and reliable, who knows the market and will come to every project with an inclusive approach and sensitivity to the author or brand. You will work with the Commissioning Editors on structural edits, proofreading and copyediting, liaise with authors on editorial feedback and the development of manuscripts, and produce creative copy for blurbs and sales material. You will support the team on delivering polished manuscripts on schedule, always with the reader in mind and you will play a part in creative project development and helping to find the Next Big Thing.

You will be familiar with editorial processes and conventions, SEO techniques, and quick to learn new IT systems and processes.

The role is based in our offices near Latimer Road/Shepherd's Bush tube stations in West London.
