Part Time HR Advisor
Your new company
My client are a highly successful and rapidly growing family manufacturing business who have seen their turnover grow from GBP1 million to GBP40 million over the last 20 years. Supplying products into a range of sectors including automotive, construction and retail sectors.
Following the growth in their headcount to c140 heads, they are now looking to bring in a dedicated HR professional to establish a new HR department and manage the day to day HR operations for c24 hours a week.
Your new role
As Part Time HR Advisor, you will deliver an effective HR service to the Wednesbury plant to ensure they have the right people, organisation and culture to achieve their business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Interpret, explain and implement departmental policies and procedures, assisting line managers to understand policies.
* Represent HR department in disciplinary situations for all shop floor employees and staff positions
* Advise on absenteeism and leave situations to ensure consistency and policy adherence.
* Evaluate sickness absence information and advise line managers on appropriate action.
* Planning and delivering training as required, to include new employee induction.
* Analysing training needs in conjunction with department managers.
* Responsible for occupational health service.
* Maintain confidential records and information.
* Interpret and advise on employment legislation and employment terms.
* Support the promotion of equality and diversity.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced HR professional, ideally with CIPD Level 3 or 5 or equivalent experience and have extensive commercial HR experience. You will be comfortable managing casework, designing and rolling out policies and procedures and posses excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills. Experience in manufacturing or closely aligned sectors would be beneficial but my client is open to applications from other industries providing you have the right level of experience.
What you'll get in return
The role attracts an FTE salary if cGBP24,000-GBP28,000 which will be pro rata for c24 hours and they are very flexible on what hours or days the successful candidates will be working. They can accommodate 3 or 4 days or reduced hours over a 5 day week.
