Working under the supervision of their team of Marketing Managers the purpose of this role is to ensure that the content of this company's web shops is current and up to date. Accurate product detail and information is important to ensure the customer receives the best experience which in turn will generate healthy sales conversion rates.

By continually assessing web shop performance and customers buying behaviours improvements can be recommended and made to the web shops. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a niche global forward thinking organisation that has a brand position that resonates beyond its traditional sector.

Key Areas of Responsibility

- Generate and update web shop content (products, content, promotions).
- Plan, define and implement web shop changes and functional improvements.
- Monitor key performance indicators on the web shops and advise plans to improve them.
- Work with Marketing Managers and agencies to build traffic and sales via the web shops.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Behaviour needed to successfully undertake the Job

- Demonstrated experience of maintaining and administering Magento web shops.
- To have at least two years' experience working within ecommerce.
- Interpreting and delivering agreed schedules and plans.
- Previous experience of website or e-commerce Content Management Systems
- The role will involve travel so a clean driving license will be required.
- Has understanding of key social media avenues and their potential benefits
- Understanding of the disciplines required to drive traffic to retail websites (PPC, email marketing, link generation, online PR, SEO, offline marketing and PR, affiliate programmes, etc.).
- Understanding of order management/customer fulfilment in an e-commerce context.
- Experience using packages like Photoshop, illustrator, InDesign.
- Comfortable with numbers and a very good knowledge of Microsoft excel.
- Good at prioritising and able to work under pressure.
- To deliver at a high level of detail without mistakes/errors.
- Can work as part of a team and take instruction from Marketing Managers.
- Seen as an individual who delivers on promises and objectives.
- Will always find a way around obstacles.
- Not satisfied with current level of performance and actively seeks ways to improve
- Able to make sound decisions when required

The role will be office based but there will be a need to liaise and interact with our pick/pack operation which will mean spending time on the shop floor. The role will also require the need to travel to and from local agencies and suppliers.
