An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Technical Coordinator to join us at our office in Welwyn Garden City, to have overall responsibility for Design Development on land led and traditional opportunities up to and including start on site.

Within this role, you will be responsible for obtaining quotations from consultants and survey companies and will provide recommendations for approval. You will also prepare appointment documents for consultants, ancillary services and survey work and will manage consultants to prepare outline design for planning application and also working drawings.

In addition, you will manage the design development to ensure agreed Mears New Homes specifications are incorporated into the design.

In order to be successful in this role, it is essential that you have substantial contracting/development experience within new build housing. An understanding of construction legislation such as Town & Country Planning Act and Building Regulations is also essential.

With strong interpersonal skills, you should also be IT proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Although not essential, a professional qualification and a technical/commercial background would be advantageous.
