The team have an opportunity for a Claims Handler to join them in Bristol on a contract basis for 12 months. So what will you be doing? In this busy and varied role you'll provide an essential claims handling service for a major insurer. You'll be responsible for your own caseload and advise insureds on a daily basis as to the best way to respond to and resolve claims made against them. You'll be working with excel spreadsheets to provide management information for the insurer when required. In addition, you'll assist lawyers in the team with a variety of fee-earning tasks including document management, disclosure exercises, compiling bundles, preparing costs estimates and schedules, legal research, drafting correspondence and preparing instructions to experts and counsel. So what does the ideal candidate look like? You'll have strong legal academics, either from a law degree, Graduate Diploma in Law or CILEx qualification and some previous claims handling experience gained from a commercial environment. You'll be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written, possess strong IT skills (including MS Word, Excel and Outlook) as well as being highly organised and adaptable. Any previous experience in professional negligence will give your application a distinct advantage. So what makes it so great to work here?
