Our client is an organisation that provides a range of housing and varied support services to vulnerable people. Their aim is to support people in achieving their full potential. They are currently going through a large period of growth and have vacancies for Relief Support Workers.

Position: Relief Support Worker
Location: Graham House, Weston-Super-Mare
Hours: Flexible relief hourS (Zero Hours Contracts)
Salary: GBP7.83 per hour

About the Role:

Their Weston-Super-Mare and Clevedon Services provide supported accommodation for a range of clients, specifically young people between the ages of 16-25, young mums and those with a history of substance misuse. Clients may stay for up to 6 months within their Service.

The Services are staffed 24 hours a day by an experienced team who have experience with working with young people with complex needs.

They are looking to develop their pool of relief staff and are looking for individuals who can support and cover shifts over weekdays, weekends and nights.

You will effectively support with the management of the full range of housing clients in order to help them move towards independent living.

About You:
To be considered for this role you will have experience in providing effective support to clients within a supported housing environment.

You will possess a clear understanding of the service delivery and resources available for those within supported housing to help them move towards independent living.

You will ensure that all service users are given the security and support to maximise their independence, dignity and choice in accordance with the aims of the project.

Candidates will need a patient and calm professional manner and a fair, non-discriminatory and non-judgemental approach.

Strong administration and communication skills are essential.

A Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Certificate will be required for this role.
