Head of Learning (STEM) - Seevic & Palmer's Colleges Group
This is an exciting time to join the newly merged Seevic and Palmer's College . The post will be based at the Palmer's Campus. We are looking for an experienced and inspirational Head of Learning to join our community and to lead and manage our science and computing departments through the next phase of their development.
The College is going through a period of accelerated change and this new post, as part of the management team, will be instrumental in the delivery of the new strategic vision. We believe in exciting everyone about the possibilities in life and exist to equip students with the edge they need to succeed.
The post requires someone who will be innovative in approach, passionate about the needs of students and be a motivational leader. The role requires management of teaching staff and technician support staff, budgets (staffing and resources) and timetabling.
The department of STEM currently offers a wide choice of A levels and Vocational courses
The successful candidate will:
Have a proven track record of raising standards and can demonstrate inspirational teaching and learning
Have experience of managing a department and managing innovative change
Be resilient and capable of working in a changing environment
Be able to demonstrate energy, enthusiasm and commitment to working as part of a team
Be able to assess and develop further the current curriculum offer have excellent time management skills ??
Have a degree in a related subject to the area
