Job Position: AWS Solution Architect

Location: Uxbridge - Permanent employment

Salary: £ 40,000 - £ 50,000 Gross per Year

Start Date: 9^th March 2018

S P A Business Services Limited, based at Stockley Park, Uxbridge, requires AWS Solution Architect. Applicants must be experienced in technical skills in AWS, IT Infrastructure, Mission-Critical Applications, and Windows environments that will be used in performing migration and support tasks and must demonstrate a proven work track record to enable the following key responsibilities of the role:

• Participate in architectural discussions to build confidence and ensure customer success when building new and migrating existing applications, software and services on the AWS platform. 
• Coordinate and engage with the sales team to design solutions for customers, drive AWS adoption and revenue. 
• Establish credibility & build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates.
• Conduct “hands-on” education/training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS. 
• Implement cost control strategies and optimization of existing AWS services, understand the metrics of AWS processes for recommendations on cost savings.
• Evaluate cloud application requirements and make architectural recommendations, provisioning applications on AWS.
•  Manage on migrating complex, multi-tier enterprise application to AWS and providing efficient cloud solutions.
• Capturing and sharing best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS and Hybrid Cloud community AWS environment configuration and performance tuning.
• Ability to deploy solutions in a DevOps or Infrastructure-as-Code model in AWS leveraging Cloud Formation and/or automation tools such as Docker,Chef, Puppet or Ansible .
• Design high-performance and highly-available, resilient application environments leveraging Microsoft technologies to meet customers’ and application requirements .
• Help clients to enforce internal control policies and ensure regulatory compliance by recommending and implementing Applications and Windows security and audit features. 

Qualifications, Experience and Mandatory Skills Required:

• Minimum of  5+ years proven AWS experience and in Linux administration and Scripting preferably Red Hat.
• Good to have AWS Technical Professional and Advanced Architecting on AWS certifications.
• Prior experience with AWS - EC2, EBS, ELB, ASG, VPCs, Route53.
• Experience at implementing Systems architecture using AWS, CentOS, Debian, Apache, MySQL, PHP.
• Good with Databases MySQL, SQL Server 2008; Notions : PostGreSQL, MongoDB & Oracle and Servers, routers, switches, DNS, NAT, VLAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, Firewall, VoIP, VPN.
• Educated to Computing Degree or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to right level conversations 
• Knowledge on Cloud Best Practices and AWS Well-Architected Frameworks.
• Good with any programming languages like Java, C, C++, PHP, Python, ASP.Net, Javascript, CSS 2, XML, AJAX, Java Play framework, JSON etc. and knowledge on corresponding frameworks to assess enterprise applications.
• Good with AWS security management and enterprise application security knowledge.
