Senior Accountant

Senior Staff Accountant. Permanent Position: 37 Hours. 18 Months FTC. Our client, a manufacturing organisation with a global presence, based in Peterborough is looking to recruit an experienced Accountant to join its finance team.
Salary Range: £44K - £50K
Benefits: 25 days annual leave, up to 12% bonus, childcare vouchers, contributory pension scheme, contributory share scheme.

An opportunity has now arisen for a Senior Staff Accountant to join its Finance team at its site in Peterborough covering maternity leave for 18 months. You will independently perform accounting functions which require preparation, analysis and communication of issues of normal to high complexity that support the subsidiary's business processes.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

*Determining Internal Rate of Return (IRR) for high complexity projects

*Regional profitability reporting & analysis

*NPI (new product introduction) support including future cost, should cost, alternative analyses and strategy

*OPACC (operating profit after capital charge) determination & analysis

*Enterprise coordination and/or governance of costing activities

*Product group and/or operational strategy development & execution

*Low cost producer analysis

*Post implementation audit (PIA) completion

*Development of new/alternative costing methodologies, processes, and/or systems

The Person

*Educated to a degree level or qualified by experience

*Professional Certification (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)

*Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) experience

*First rate analytical skills, with the ability to summarise and present at director level

*The ability to demonstrate strong customer focus

*Proven record of strong initiative, leadership, accountability, and effective communication skills

*Must be confident presenting financial information to senior management

*Experienced user of MS Excel and PowerPoint
