The College has a vacancy for a Fire Porter to assist the Head Porter in the promotion of fire and health and safety related matters within the workplace including liaising with the “Responsible Person “and being the first point of contact for all college members with regards to the day to day fire safety matters arising within the College Estate.
Fire Porter
Hours: 37.5 per week, not including breaks
Starting salary between £26,000-£27,500 per annum
Based: Cambridge
The Fire Porter will also assist in the development and implementation of fire evacuation and emergency planning, perform fire drills and fire evacuation.
The ideal applicant will be very organised, be a good communicator, have a good knowledge of fire safety, be able to work on their own initiative and be a competent person.
