They are currently recruiting for a Health and Safety and Environment Manager to join the senior management team based in Plymouth. Health and Safety is their highest priority, so they are looking for an exceptional candidate, ideally with multi-site experience covering manufacturing, engineering, logistics, warehousing, office based and remote working activities.
As a Health and Safety and Environment Manager you will be responsible for covering our 600+ employees across the UK, defining and leading the execution of organisational objectives for Health and Safety, Environmental and Energy management systems (HSEES) and driving the continuous improvement of HSEES systems and processes in all
UK sites. Providing expert HSEES advice you will support across the range of business activities, will support with the training and development of staff in a range of HSEES requirements and will act as the main point of contact for a number of external HSEES bodies. You will thoroughly investigate the accidents and near miss reports, analyse data and produce management reports and will chair regular Health and Safety, environmental and energy management meetings.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a similar role with a NEBOSH National Diploma in H&S Management and an IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management or equivalent and continuous professional development.
