Dolce is a long established, highly successful, £multi-million turnover, Catering business, family owned with an entrepreneurial reputation built on its good, honest and reliable services which exceed customer expectations.

Rapid expansion in the education sector, particularly primary education, resulting from Dolce’s innovative approach to creating true customer partnerships, through the provision of quality, on-site catering services, with meals ‘cooked from scratch’, has led to the need to appoint a Business Development Manager.

The role is full time – 40 hours a week over 38 weeks per annum - in school term- time. A typical week will involve 3-4 days travelling around England (around 600 miles per week) with between one to three appointments per day, meeting with Head teachers and Business Managers in schools, and 1-2 days in the office following up leads and preparing marketing communications/mail outs.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-starter, who will focus on developing relationships with Head Teachers, Business Managers and School Governors, hosting and co-ordinating seminars, organising taster sessions and assisting with Trade Shows. The role will also involve you in following up on leads already generated by the company’s marketing activity and working as part of a team on tenders and new business development activity.  You will also liaise with marketing partners who will help to produce high quality sales materials.

Whilst experience of developing relationships within the educational sector and a background in catering would be advantageous, a good work ethic, authentic and trust worthy persona, strong communication and interpersonal skills, good presentation ability, perseverance, honesty, integrity and a real passion for what you do will be of most importance.
