The Role The London Corporate department is the largest within the office, and at the heart of the firm's business. The team is seeking an experienced executive to support the delivery of a number of marketing and communications projects over the course of 12 months. The individual will be required to combine their expertise with a quickly developed understanding of the business to review, manage, and shape the promotion of the department's activity, both internally and externally. Innovative thinking will be encouraged to deliver leading content that helps the firm positively differentiate itself from its competitors, identifying best channels of content delivery, and developing processes for its on-going management. The role holder will work closely with Partners and Associates, both in the UK and internationally, across the Corporate groups, as well as the wider BD and Marketing team, particularly, central office support for marketing, communications, branding, and document production. The BD executive reports to the Senior BD Manager and sits within a team of 4 BD professionals. Responsibilities Marketing / Promotion Quickly develop understanding of the business, including; products, services, clients, industries and geographies. Build awareness of the strategy and existing sales differentiators to; Review & develop sales collateral including brochures, global handbooks and flyers. This includes both hard and soft copy. Ensuring visibility of relevant, up-to -date materials both internally and externally. Work with Partners, Associates and Professional Support Lawyers to leverage innovative thought leadership opportunities and content across multi-channels including social media. Measure client engagement. Audit the practice's digital presence, making recommendations for improvements and coordinating the implementation. Increase use of social media, in line with firm's digital strategy, and communicate guidelines for best practice going forward. Support the design & implementation of sales campaigns, including post campaign analysis. Provide the BD perspective on event management. This includes developing focused mailing lists, aligned to our client base, marketing collateral for the event, spotting opportunities to cross sell and coordinating follow up with partners and associates. Review strategy regarding association memberships and embed lawyer engagement. Support the delivery of day-to-day marketing and communications activity Internal Communications Responsibility for system / data management, including deal collation and reporting, client mailing lists, and events schedule. Refresh the department's internal communications, including writing the bi-weekly practice newsletter, and recommendations and updates to the group's internet pages, to increase usage an engagement in BD. Jobholder Requirements Literacy: Excellent drafting and copywriting skills. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to brief the design team to present a succinct, compelling message. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate at all levels. Positive, can do attitude - Solutions driven. Strong project management skills. IT: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook (advanced level). Familiarity with social media channels Pressure & Intensity: Ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines. Strong work ethic with a willingness to work outside normal office hours in order to meet project deadline. Well organised, proactive, flexible and able to prioritise work and delegate effectively. Knowledge & Maturity: Prior Marketing & BD experience in professional services / partnership or agency environment essential. Educated to degree level or equivalent. UK CIM or similar marketing/business qualification an advantage. Fluent English essential, both written and oral English fluency. Excellent organisational skills.
