A time served or suitably qualified and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Craftsperson is required to join an established and efficient Maintenance Team.

Working under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor you will primarily under take plumbing, heating, ventilation, mechanical and installation work which would include, fault finding, repairs and alterations to the various building services throughout the University.  A degree of cross trade flexibility is a feature of the work, once the appropriate training has been given, or prior training has been validated. Being a registered gas operative is also desirable.

You will be also be required to participate in an “on call” rota when it is deemed appropriate by your Supervisor.

 Travelling throughout the University premises, as well as in and around Newcastle will also be required.
