This is your chance to join a growing employment team, working in a varied role advising commercial clients on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment related queries. About the role You will work on a variety of employment law matters advising commercial clients on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment related queries. You will be involved in advising commercial clients in relation to: day-to-day employment queries, such as disciplinary and grievance matters, maternity/family leave issues and work time questions; senior executive issues, including negotiating appointments and exits; collective matters such as restructuring, redundancies, integration and TUPE; industrial relations and trade union matters; employment tribunal, civil court and appeal litigation, including some advocacy in the employment tribunal; due diligence, drafting warranties and indemnities in connection with corporate and real estate transactions, business transfers and outsourcing involving service provision changes. Our team also plays a central role in CMS as a global provider of employment legal advice and regularly advises clients on cross-jurisdictional matters. About you Given the type of work you will undertake we anticipate that you will need to have minimum 2-3 years' relevant PQE to meet the demands of the role, including some corporate support, TUPE and employment tribunal experience. You will have trained in a similar reputable private practice firm and have an excellent academic record.
