Plan International UK strives to advance children's rights and equality for girls all over the world. Working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges facing girls and all vulnerable children. We have been building powerful partnerships for children for 80 years, and are now active in more than 70 countries. Our primary proposition is Child Sponsorship, where we deliver an engaging and unique one to one relationship to over 80,000 child sponsors. Our Individual Giving Unit recruits, retains and develops the support of individuals and households in the UK and is responsible for generating income from individuals through the sponsorship journey. In order to deliver a first class sponsorship experience for supporters, we've created a pioneering new role of Senior Sponsorship Experience Officer. This role has the unique opportunity to create a magical experience for child sponsors. With responsibility for all administrative communications to our key sponsor audience, working with our international colleagues, as well as the overall sponsor experience, for example visits, events or specific projects, this role will ensure quality, effective planning and timing and help us to achieve our objectives of reducing attrition and increasing sponsor engagement. You will ensure that the organisation is a global centre of excellence in the provision of sponsorship experience, working with colleagues across Plan International. This will include managing the quality, development and production of mandatory sponsorship communication; devising bespoke, tailored communication and overseeing the sponsor visit programme. You will also work with colleagues across the Individual Giving Unit to identify and steward relevant sponsors across the programme and manage sponsors' journeys. To succeed in the role, you will need to have experience of working in a marketing /fundraising department (including direct marketing) and of managing supporter/customer experience. As the role involves line management, you will have previously managed and motivated people to perform at their best. The deadline for applications is 9:00am on Monday 19 March 2018 Interviews are likely to take place during week commencing 26 March 2018 Due to the nature of our work with children, we follow rigorous child protection policies and procedures in our recruitment process. As a result, some of our roles are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure by the Disclosure and Barring Service. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from joining us as an employee or volunteer; this will depend on the circumstances of any offences.
