A long term temporary opportunity has arisen for the right candidate. The role as a Messenger for Home Office is based in Leeds - Kirkstall Road - close to Leeds City Centre and if you are CTC cleared this role comes with immediate start!
Working hours are from 7am to 3pm, 5 days a week from Monday - Friday.
The rate: £7 - increasing to £8 after the first 12 weeks
To systematically deal with all aspects of the receipt, collection and distribution on internal and external mail.
" To take delivery of all mail from the Royal Mail, Relay Service and other couriers as necessary
" To log incoming/outgoing mail onto the RD system
" To use the X-Ray systems
" To sort mail and deliver to the appropriate internal delivery points
" To collect mail from internal collection points as detailed locally.
" To prepare for collection by Royal Mail and other couriers all outgoing mail, ensuring that collection deadlines are met.
" To frank outgoing mail.
" To monitor stock levels and order post related tasks as necessary.
" To attend training sessions and meetings as necessary.
The role is largely customer focused and contains an small element of lifting and carrying
Candidate need to have an excellent communication skills both oral and written.
