Our client is a leading standalone UK-focused downstream energy company and has a strong UK market share (circa 16%).  Their oil refinery in Ellesmere Port processes 9 million tonnes of crude oil and feedstock per year and is a major supplier in North-West England with customers including most of the major retail brands operated by the international oil companies and the hypermarkets, together with Manchester Airport and the region’s trains and buses.

The Role
 
Our client now has an opportunity for a Rotating Equipment Engineer to join them at their refinery in Ellesmere Port to provide practical and timely technical assurance and support to their production and service units. Using your experience and through involvement in site processes, you will deliver reliability improvements of our client’s rotating equipment and provide support, sometimes leading on, major rotating equipment Turnaround activities. You will be required to provide guidance and coaching across site on all UK legislation, standards, industry best practice as well as quality practices and procedures. You will also provide support to the Project Teams in specifying and installing new equipment and modifying existing assets.
 
About You
 
Our client is ideally looking for a degree educated Engineer with solid rotating equipment experience, ideally from within the petrochemical industry or with a relevant Original Equipment manufacturer, although will consider other applicants with the right skills, experience and ability
 
You will have good knowledge of the range of rotating equipment found on petrochemical plants along with the processes, systems and standards required to support them. It is essential for you to have a good understanding of maintenance, project support, inspection activities, risk management and quality systems. An excellent communicator, you will be able to work well as part of a team and you will have excellent organisational and time management skills.
