Senior Trust Officer / Manager, Manchester

The Group Addleshaw Goddard has one of the UK's most significant private client groups, with trusted advisers guiding ultra- and high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, corporate entities, family offices, trust companies and charities. The Trust Administration team manages and administers a large portfolio of high net worth private family trusts and charitable trusts covering a wide variety of assets. The team is primarily responsible for ensuring all trust tax compliance is dealt with (income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax), preparing annual trust accounts and dealing with day-to day trust administration. Our Requirements We are looking for a Senior Trust Officer/Manager to manage a mixed complexity caseload. You will have experience detailing with a variety of trusts including: 1. Preparation of annual trust accounts 2. Preparation of inheritance tax accounts and computations for relevant property trusts and pre-2008 IIP trusts 3. Prepare UK income and capital gains tax returns 4. Ongoing tax compliance monitoring such as FATCA and CRS Our client base includes a high proportion of high net worth individuals with complex financial arrangements and so you must be able to work efficiently and confidently with clients and the Trustees to effectively manage the trust. You must be able to handle straightforward matters with minimal supervision and be a team player who will work within the existing Trust Administration team and as a support to the Senior Associates. The successful candidate will have: ??? Minimum three year experience working within the Private Client arena or comparable environment ??? Ideally you should have obtained or be studying towards the STEP diploma in Trust and Estate Administration or equivalent accountancy qualification.
