CNC Setter / CNC Programmer / Operator

Job Title: CNC Setter Programmer

Location: Dorking, Surrey (RH4)

The Company is a well-established manufacturer and renowned experts in machining, bonding and finishing engineering grade acrylic. They supply global, blue-chip customers in industries including life sciences, medical devices and industrial applications with solutions including fluidic manifolds and optical components.

The Role:

This role is to a set and operator a number of their CNC machines. The operators needs to be able to work on their own but also play a team role to ensure that components are manufactured to the drawing and within tolerance. The operator must also be able to multitask across a number of machines and be proactive to ensure components meet quality requirements. The company operators a Lean manufacturing programme and this role would require the operator to assist in implementing best practise skills.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Programme CNC machining centres
• Brother VMC
• Dugard Twin Pallet VMC
• Fanuc Drill Mate

Qualifications and Experience:

• Mechanical engineering
• City & Guilds qualification
• Full knowledge of Fanuc and Siemens controls
• Knowledge of CAD would be useful but not essential as training would be given
• Set up fixtures, tooling and programmes
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings
