Programme Director, Active Cities & Towns, Scotland GBP45,023 - GBP49,146 per annum (Ref: SUS2355) (dependent on relevant skills and experience) 37.5 hours per week - fixed term contract to 30 June 2021 based in Edinburgh This hugely exciting and challenging role will lead the Active Cities and Towns programme and be responsible for the management and delivery of all Sustrans work to help deliver the vision of the Scottish Government's '2017-18 Programme for Government (PfG): A Nation with Ambition', which is 'to make Scotland's towns and cities more pleasant and safe for walking and cycling'. As a key stakeholder and delivery partner of Scottish Government, Sustrans will be working closely with Transport Scotland and other partners. Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have experience of successful delivery of complex programmes at a senior level and project management, including budgets and deadlines. You will have experience of strategic development, of building strong relationships with key programme stakeholders, client management and networking. Your ability to demonstrate strategic thinking and develop clear plans for project delivery will enhance your strong leadership skills and your ability to develop highly effective working relationships. You will have a good knowledge of the national and local political and governing structures in Scotland and be committed to the promotion of sustainable transport.
