Job Title: Trainee Switchboard Operator / Administrator

Location: Rainham

As a result of ongoing growth and expansion the Company, a leading UK steel stockholder requires a Trainee Switchboard operator/Administrator. Working in their Head office based in Rainham, Essex.

Job Purpose:

Answering the telephone and direct calls. General administration tasks

The Job Role:

• To ensure the smooth transition of calls from the main switchboard to the relevant sales people/department.
• Take and relay messages
• Receive and sort mail and deliveries.
• Envelope and frank daily post
• Double check steel bending schedules
• Full training will be given on in house computer systems.

The Candidate:

• The successful candidate must be someone with an excellent telephone voice
• Have an outgoing personality and enjoy customer contact
• Confident and polite telephone manner with an excellent command of English.
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service
• Good interpersonal skills to be able to deal with people at all levels
• Ability to work in a team environment
