Share Learn Improve Coordinator (Project Support / Environment / Learning) Newark GBP25,000 Full Time (35 Hours per week) Fixed term contract to August 2020Our client has been appointed by the Big Lottery Fund to lead their programme to invest GBP33 million across the UK to support young people (aged 11-24) to improve their local environments. This five year programme will take the form of a portfolio made up of projects from across the UK. They have a vision, that the portfolio will catalyse long term change in the way in which they invest in their young people and the environment by increasing the ability of young people to improve places that are important to them and to influence the attitudes and decisions that shape their neighbourhoods and communities. They have an exciting opportunity for a Share Learn Improve Coordinator to join this programme working from their office in Newark. The main purpose of this role is to deliver an effective learning strategy across the portfolio, coordinate the project support network, central travel fund and advice to projects; and managing an online community. Within this role your main responsibilities will include delivering and commissioning a programme of training and sharing seminars for projects, building effective relationships with the projects to enable knowledge sharing and developing and supporting the Programme Manager in the coordination of another grant funded programme. You will also be expected to ensure project support network is effective and that the service is fit for purpose, seeking additional members from across the portfolio. In addition, you will process applications to the central travel fund and ensure the correct processes and protocols are in place. The successful candidate will display strong project management skills and ideally have worked within a similar role previously, although this is not essential. The candidate should have experience of knowledge networks, facilitation, event planning and organisation. You will be capable of building effective relationships and providing advice as well as having experience of developing successful strategies preferably in a learning capacity. It is essential that you have strong planning and control skills as well as being able to work in a tactful and diplomatic way whilst maintaining confidentiality. You will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative and you will have a flexible approach with the willingness to step in if needed. Confident in your approach, you will be able to motivate and lead others as well as being able to inspire confidence.
