Product Development Engineer - Leicester £28k to £32k + benefits depending on experience

The Role

As Product Development Engineer, you will join our team of designers working on an extensive range of projects across a wide spectrum of industry customers, from scientific equipment to consumer products, medical devices and motorcycles!

You will support the business team with product development expertise including CAD design experience (Solid Works) and be able to carry out design calculations, take a briefing from clients and colleagues and respond autonomously, reviewing projects and working to deadlines.

You will have access to a range of design tools and will also liaise closely with the prototyping specialists in their workshop facility. The role involves innovative thinking using your knowledge of current manufacturing principles and processes including reverse engineering, design calculation, design analysis and the provision of fully toleranced drawings.

The Person

You will be a qualified Product Development Engineer with expertise in Solid Works, be highly motivated and able to balance different 'live' projects at the same time.
