Learning Support Assistant
2A + 2 pt 12 – 15 (£11,709 - £12,411 pa)
31 hours 25 minutes per week term time
+ 5 training days 8.40am – 3.25pm
Grange Academy is a community special academy for pupils aged 5-18 with a wide range of ability levels and additional learning needs, including moderate learning difficulties and autism. The school is part of a local Multi Academy Trust of special schools, BILTT. We are looking to appoint a highly skilled LSA who:
• enables learners tomake at least good progress and develop well
• has excellent knowledge of autism and associated learning needs
• works effectively as part of a team to improve learners’ conduct behaviour and attitudes to learning
• is able to build effective relationships with pupils, staff, families and multi-disciplinary professionals
• is passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children
• has strong literacy and numeracy skills and is a clear communicator.
Visits to the school are welcomed and encouraged.
The post is subject to satisfactory references, enhanced DBS& health clearance.
