Procurement Manager, Category Manager
This highly regarded Essex-based organisation is offering a new job opportunity within their best-practice Procurement team. They are seeking a Procurement Manager to take ownership of their FM category. This exciting job opportunity will appeal to a Procurement professional or Senior Buyer with expertise across FM as a preference although consideration will also be given to candidates with transferrable category experience. As the Procurement Manager you will manage relationships with key stakeholders. You will be involved in the negotiations with key suppliers and will have the ability to influence decision makers. You will be managing commercial negotiations and negotiating significant contracts whilst managing existing contracts and supplier relationships. Along with this you shall also pro-actively seek savings opportunities across category spend. Strong project management skills and the ability to work as part of a cross function team are important parts of this role. You will be supporting the Head of Procurement with significant board-level exposure.
To be successful in this role you will have relevant experience within procurement across a relevant or transferable category portfolio. Ideally you will be degree educated and you will have the confidence to work independently and demonstrate a drive to succeed. As the Procurement Manager, you will have the ability to build and develop effective relationships with key internal stakeholders demonstrating a full understanding of their drivers & requirements and identifying and providing appropriate support & solutions. The ability to speak with credibility to all levels is a must.
