Sky Business is the business-to-business division of Sky, Europe's leading entertainment company. Sky Business provides commercial customers in the UK and Ireland with comprehensive multichannel television and wifi services across a wide variety of businesses. These include hotels, pubs, sports clubs, bookmakers, offices, gyms, shops, care homes, serviced apartments, golf clubs and oil rigs.

The Role
This is a pivotal role in helping to achieve business objectives through data driven insight with a key responsibility for developing understanding within the Sky Business marketplace. It is integral to the advancement of the reporting & analytical capabilities of Sky Business through Business Objects, Tableau and Alteryx.

Within this role you will be responsible for developing analytical techniques to enable value added insight. The Analyst will be responsible for the interpretation & extrapolation of reporting as well defining key measures & driving reporting standards across Sky Business. This role will also be responsible for the consolidation of all existing analysis & trend data and providing technical expertise to the data team and other teams around Sky Business.

The role will support reporting requirements in new project work and streamlining existing reporting within Business Objects. There is also a requirement to work with other BI software (Alteryx/Tableau) and work with Microsoft SharePoint

Key Responsibilities
-Progression and support of department's BI capabilities
-Analysis to support business strategy & planning
-Development of key subscriber & market analysis metrics
-Recommendation & development of new / existing reporting suite
-Support the Data Controller in all aspects of team KPIs
-Consolidation & development of all existing reporting in Business Objects & Tableau
-Detailed analysis & interpretation from reporting
-Data processing via Alteryx and Excel to support business requirements
-Development of reporting suite, publication & access rights within Business -Objects and Microsoft SharePoint
-Proactive & reactive analysis
Sample Projects/Activities
-Ensure revenue is aligned to business operating model
-Audit report owners and usage to focus on the reports (KPIs) that matter
-Ensure reports are delivered accurately and on time to reflect business requirements
-Streamline existing reporting suite and advise on amendments to code/logic required
-Support other reporting analysts with to maintain a relative & comparative reporting suite

Your Skills
-Working knowledge of reporting universe structures and processes
-Advanced skills in manipulating, analysing & presentation of data
-Working knowledge of relational databases & how they are manipulated
-Proficient in data management
-Experience in using statistical techniques in a business environment
-Experience of database marketing analysis
-Working knowledge of data warehouse structures and processes
-Significant experience in an analytical role, primarily using Business Objects
-Experience within a similar role using a B2B data set or a customer focussed business
-All MS Office applications including very strong excel skills
-Knowledge of Business Objects version 4
-Experience using Alteryx and/or Tableau
-Administration experience using Microsoft SharePoint
