We are about to launch a new web site, and are looking for a Marketing Assistant to manage the site’s content, including featured products, music reviews and DJ charts, and to curate marketing newsletters. The ideal candidate would be a highly organised person with strong attention to detail, a deep knowledge of dance and electronic music, and a broad knowledge of modern music generally, including rock, jazz, hip-hop and leftfield. Familiarity with DJ and music production equipment is also essential. 

The role involves proofreading and editing music reviews, requiring excellent writing abilities and accurate grammar. The ability to manage a busy schedule to tight deadlines is key to the role.

Duties and responsibilities:

+ Updating the web site with featured music and equipment releases
+ Commissioning, proofreading and editing music reviews
+ Requesting and administering DJ charts
+ Compiling and scheduling marketing newsletters
+ Curating marketing promotions

The suitable candidate should have:

+ A university degree
+ Extensive knowledge of modern music, especially dance/electronic
+ Strong knowledge of DJ and studio equipment
+ Experience in administration and/or marketing
+ Excellent written and grammatical skills
+ Excellent organisational and communication skills
+ Ability to cope under pressure and work to deadlines
+ Microsoft Excel
