Administrator

1st Homecare are looking for a Temporary Administrator to join our team based at our busy Head Office in Headington, Oxford.  We offer a competitive salary of £20,000 per annum. This is a temporary role to cover long term sickness which could turn into a permanent role in due course.

1st Homecare is a growing, independent care agency based in Oxford. Most of our clients are elderly and disabled and require regular care visits in their own homes.

The Administrator Role:

As our Administration Assistant your duties will include:

- Managing the carer recruitment process including the arrangement of interviews, obtaining all relevant documentation prior to recruitment, obtaining references, arrangement of DBS reports etc.

- To scan and file paperwork into the online filing system

- Ordering stationery and other supplies for the office

- Booking carers onto training courses

- Entering new employees’ data on the company’s HR system.

- Being on call one week in 6 (to include a weekend - after a satisfactory induction period).

- On-going HR responsibilities including the booking of supervisions, appraisals, checking car insurances are up-to-date, updating records for changes of address etc.

- The taking of telephone enquiries requiring a civil manner and the ability to take accurate messages for others in the office.

Our ideal Administrator:

We are looking for an enthusiastic quick learner with close attention to detail who can record, file, and scan information accurately. He/she should have basic competence in:

- The English language (spelling and be able to write accurate legible notes)

- Word documents

- Excel to a basic level

- Use of computers and be comfortable in handling electronic files (most of the office documents are filed electronically)

In return, as our Administrator, we offer:

A salary of £20,000 per annum for a 40 hour week to include 28 days holiday.

Auto-enrolment in a Pension scheme with 1% contributions from both the employee and ourselves as the employer. This will rise in future years.
