The Senior Middleware Engineer will be a key technical engineer in the delivery of the product, utilising their excellent technical knowledge and experience to proactively define and develop the environment and procedures, and be an expert troubleshooter for major or critical service incidents. The primary function of the role is to ensure the Linux and Middlewarebased infrastructure is secure, robust, resilient and compliant to PCI standards.
You will be responsible for ensuring standards are defined and in line with architectural requirements and in line with industry best practice and you will take ownership and leadership of technical resolution for high severity production incidents. You will have Expert knowledge of administration of RedHat products, especially RHEL 6 & 7, JBOSS EAP 5/6/7 and JBOSS Operations Network or equivalent. A good exposure to RedHat FUSE and OpenShift platform is required as would be proven experience with Automating operational processes and build processes using tools like Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Jenkins, Artefactory. Experience writing shell scripts to automate build, setup and configurations and performance testing and performance tuning all beneficial.
