Factory Operative

Due to a period of continued growth, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Factory Operative to join a market leading roller shutter and garage door manufacturer. Based in Colliers Wood, Wimbledon, the successful Factory Operative will earn a salary of £18,000 - £22,000 per annum plus a range of additional bonuses.

 The company was established in 1985 and has a workforce of just over 100. They are a leading manufacturer of physical security products and garage doors and are looking to increase their output to meet a rapidly increasing demand. As a Factory Operative you will be responsible for:

• Working as an individual on an assembly production area
• Working within a team environment to produce steel shutter doors
• Meeting deadlines as a team

To be considered for the role of Factory Operative you must be able to communicate clearly within a team. In addition, the following key skills and experience are essential:

• Able to show commitment and a willingness to develop within the business
• Undertaken manual handling training and have an excellent understanding of health and safety
• An understanding of continuous improvement with a background in general assembly work
• PC literate with excellent numerical skills
• An understanding of 6S and what this means to the working area
• Ability to measure accurately
• Welding or fabrication skills and the ability to work with steel products is ideal, although full training will be given to the right applicant

In addition to a salary of £18,000 - £22,000 per annum the successful Factory Operative will receive the following annual benefits:

• Up to 25 days holiday (built up over 5 years)
• £400 company profit related bonus
• Sickness incentive scheme (offering a further 4 days holiday and £150 bonus)
• Health and safety incentive (up to £180 bonus payment)
