HARD SERVICES MANAGER

Trinity College is seeking to appoint a Hard Services Manager.  The College was founded by Henry VIII in 1546 and is the largest of the 31 Cambridge Colleges.

Working in some of Cambridge’s most historic buildings, this is an exciting opportunity to join the Works department at a time of development and change.

You will act as a key interface between the maintenance team and its customers within the College.

Key duties will be the day- to- day management of a team of supervisors and operatives (the Maintenance team) to ensure that preventative and reactive maintenance programmes are established and implemented effectively, on time and within budget.  This will include ensuring an ongoing inspection regime as well as implementing and maintaining a wide reaching planned works system in order to ensure the College is statutorily compliant.  The post holder will also be responsible for carrying out identified minor projects.

You will work closely with the Head of Estates (Clerk of Works) in facilitating change and developing the department.  You must therefore have excellent motivation and influencing skills and a proven track record of managing both a directly employed team as well as contractors.  The ability to persuade and influence is essential as is professional expertise within a multi-disciplinary team.  You will ideally hold an HND or equivalent and have relevant experience of working in the design, construction and operation of the built environment.  If you are solution-oriented, highly organised, proactive and an influencer this is the role for you.

Salary: £37,849 - £40,749 per annum plus additional benefits.

Closing date for completed applications 22 March 2018.

It is anticipated that interviews will be held during week commencing 3 April 2018.
