Prestige Recruitment Specialists are currently recruiting for an experienced Book Keeper to work for our highly successful client on a temp-perm basis currently working in Dereham.

This vacancy is a great opportunity for the right candidate. Our client has a small office and is run by a fantastic team providing with client's accountancy services.

The Candidate will also be asked to work from another office based in Norwich on occasions. Access to own transport would be an advantage but not essential if happy to commute.

You will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:

• Processing sales invoices, receipts and payments
• Preparing invoices for the Inland Revenue
• Repairing cash flow statements
• Dealing with financial paperwork and filing
• Maintaining payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
• Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions and holiday wages.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analysing information
• Provide payroll information by answering questions and requests.
• Following policies and procedures
• Maintains client's confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
• Running multiple payrolls both weekly and monthly
• Producing accounts to trial balance
• Bookkeeping and preparing VAT returns for clients
• Working within an effective team to complete project components and assignment tasks
• Communicate to clients via telephone, letter and email
• Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested

Successful candidates must have the following qualification and skills:

• Must have previous experience in payroll and bookkeeping
• An ability to work quickly and accurately
• An ability to work to deadlines
• To be honest, discreet and an understanding of confidentiality
• Excellent Numeracy skills
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal - to deal with customers and external contacts
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Up to date knowledge of payroll legislation, including HRMC regulations
• A minimum C grade GCSE in Mathematics and English
• Must have significant payroll and bookkeeping experience
• AAT Qualified or working towards a certificate or related accountancy qualification
• Working knowledge of SSP, SMP, SPP and NI calculations
• IT literate and proficient in Microsoft Office, SAGE Line 50 and Quick Books

This Vacancy is a temp-perm position

Hours of work:
• Full Time

Rate of pay:
• GBP8.00-GBP10.00 per hour
