This brand is a world-class professional services firm outsourcing their consultants to clients across the globe. Currently one of the strongest performing firms, this company is looking to develop their procurement platform to one that mirrors the success of the entire brand. The company is in the process of transforming their entire procurement function which sees an implementation of new procurement frameworks across the board. This brand is looking for an enthusiastic team leader to be an integral addition to this transformation, overseeing and managing the IT procurement category.

The Role

This IT procurement lead role sits within a capable team working collaboratively on spends in excess of GBP600 million. As the IT procurement lead you will be supervising and signing off on key points within such spends as well as managing your team. You will use your excellent interpersonal skills to effectively mentor your team to use initiative to produce tenders and contracts that encompass the company's key requirements and desires. You will use your exceptional negotiation skills to successfully support and manage competitive bid processes to undoubtedly maximise service delivery and value for money across all elements within the IT category. By systematically identifying and understanding the complex requirements of this category, you'll competently recognise savings opportunities and solutions within each stage of the full procurement lifecycle, creating a track record of cost containment within an intriguing and ever-changing environment. Your established stakeholder management skills will enable you to review pre-existing contracts and strategies to either maintain, develop or pitch those of higher quality that better suit the company's demands.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Prior IT procurement category experience working within blue-chip companies.
  • Substantial stakeholder and supplier management capabilities with specific focus on improving procurement practises.
  • A demonstrable track record of delivering savings within a challenging and competitive environment.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and knowledge of the relevant marketplace, vendors and new technologies.
  • Qualified to degree level, CIPS desired.
