Job Description

The Job:

We are looking for a dynamic, experienced Sales Leader to create and manage a new sales team for our European market.

As a Sales Manager at CloudFactory, you will build a sales team and individually contribute to drive revenue growth by landing new clients - making it rain! The team will primarily be an Inside Sales Team that includes both Inside Account Executives (Quota carrying) and Sales Development Reps (Lead Generation) functions in EMEA. To do that, you will qualify and develop leads by prospecting for new clients, qualifying leads and opportunities, demo-ing relevant tech and materials, presenting proposals, and then close the deals. Your pipeline will be sourced from your own prospecting into new accounts as well as leads sourced by a partnered sales development representative (once you hire them). You will help recruit, hire, train, manage, mentor, and develop a high-growth and integrity focused team of Account Executives (AE) and Sales Development Representatives (SDR). You will work closely with upstream (lead gen specialists/marketing) and downstream (other sales leadership) stakeholders to continuously improve our operation, and collaboratively with Marketing and Client Success so our revenue machine stays well-oiled. Ideal candidates will have previously built sales teams in EMEA, have the right blend of client focus and sales process & metrics focus, and will be eager to build a new team from scratch to win in a hot market. Your customers will primarily be venture-backed, technology-centric startups, but also include everything from SMB-large-enterprise companies to IPO'd startups. Our 100+ clients include Microsoft, Expensify, Ibotta, Drive.AI, etc.

Your job will be based primarily in Reading, United Kingdom, as part of a global company with operations in the USA, Nepal, and Kenya.

The Fit:

To fit in as a Sales Manager with us you will need to be a bright, energetic and curious type, who doesn't let things wait. You will be incredibly ambitious, the kind of person who wants to own a business like CloudFactory one day. You'll be passionate about technology, startups, and the leading edge of innovation and disruption. You'll be industrious and results-oriented, where you want to be measured by your output rather than your input. You'll possess well-rounded business acumen, with curiosity about customers' products, business models, and operations. You'll be data-driven and a natural researcher. You will be direct and bold, and a stellar written communicator. You love working with people and building high-performing and empathetic sales teams.

The nascent sales organization here offers a great opportunity to be a key contributor today and develop professionally as we grow in size. You will be the first UK sales hire and build out your own sales team.

The Experience:

We're looking for someone with a Bachelor's degree plus at least 5 years of sales and/or account management experience, ideally in a SaaS startup, and at least 2 years of sales team management. You should have a proven track record in hyper-scaling inside sales and sales development teams for young companies, including hiring and developing of young sales people through a complete career progression program. This program should include training, enablement, and mentoring. You have a high EQ (emotional intelligence) and CQ (cultural intelligence) with an innate empathy for people and curiosity for the big world out there. Technology startup experience and international work experience - or demonstrated interest in them - would be a big plus!
