Project Manager
My Client, one of the largest transportation service organisations in Europe are looking for 2 skilled Project Mangers to come and help the company achieve their ambitious growth agenda. This is an opportunity to join a company who are looking to go on an exciting journey over the next few years.
Direct Responsibilities
* Manage the delivery of strategic projects to agreed time, budget, scope, and quality under the banner of the Accelerate programme
* Lead and coordinate (across 14 countries) those responsible for local adoption of the design blueprint, ensuring that there is continued buy in to the project deliverables and that local execution keeps pace with desired schedule for roll out
* Identify, manage, and escalate risks to implementation and work with local operations to mitigate and minimise those risks
* Control and manage changes to scope, schedule or costs associated with project delivery and ensure appropriate stakeholder engagement and endorsement.
* Interface with the central PMO with oversight on this transformation to
* Establish an assumption-based risk register for the implementation,
* Manage the reporting on progress, costs and benefits realised,
* Clarify changes to scope, risk profile, benefits to target, or dependencies
Manage stakeholders impacted by the programme and own the communication content aimed at these different sets of stakeholders.
Knowledge, skills and experience
* Experience in roles involving strong delivery of projects
* Experience working in a multi-national organisations and appreciation of implications for change approach
* Project management qualification or certification desirable, e.g. Prince II or Lean
* Experience of project managing in a procurement function preferred but not essential
* Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
* Strong presentation (especially PowerPoint) development skills
