Responsible for ensuring the Grants Unit portfolios deliver maximum impact for the Most Vulnerable Children through grants acquisition and quality management of grant funded programmes in non-Fragile States. Reporting to the Grants Unit Manager, this role will provide excellence in terms of team development and management, to support the Grants Unit Manager to take a strong team to the next level of efficiency, effectiveness and success. Amplifying WVUK's impact through strategic engagement for acquisition and quality management of institutional grant funded projects and programmes aligned to the implementation of the Grants Business Model - to facilitate WV's mission to stand with the world's most vulnerable children. As a post graduate and experienced manager, with overseas project management expertise and a proven ability of bringing in innovative management solutions to a team to improve quality and processes, successful funding submissions and excellent grant management oversight to government and multilaterals across a complex multi-regional portfolio, establishing excellent relationships with supporting colleagues (such as Regional Office Resource Development Directors and WVUK teams), including senior leadership, and other NGO peers, you will have significant experience in developing and delivering training, and a keen interest to participate in the building of a learning culture that actively seeks to learn from experience and embed learning into future work. Positive, optimistic, solution oriented and resourceful in dealing with obstacles, as well as being able to manage a demanding workload, you will also be expected to promote a culture of excellence to ensure WVUK's core values and principles are widely communicated to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of resources are maximised. As an active Christian, this role offers you the opportunity integrate your Christian faith within World Vision UK. There may be up to 25% travel and interaction with donors and other key peers and stakeholders will be necessary, so any additional languages will be an advantage.
