Job Title: Factory Manager

Location: High Wycombe

Salary: Competitive

Job type: Permanent, Full time, Monday to Friday; 40 hours

Purpose of the role:

Assist in the day to day smooth running of the factory floor through good supervision of: staff, procedures and product.

The project co-ordinator will be responsible for:


  • Provide leadership, encouragement, training and support in order to help others achieve their results and meet their targets.
  • Ensure all manufacture is carried out in accordance with job sheets, working drawings, specifications and system supplier's fabrication manuals.
  • Ensure all manufacture achieves the highest quality standards in line with the company's quality procedures ensuring all documentation and labelling etc. is completed and records maintained.
  • Ensure all manufacture is completed in a timely fashion within the given timescales to meet the required delivery/installation dates.
  • Ensure all company documentation is completed and records maintained in accordance with the company's procedures.
  • Organise the factory labour resource to meet the demands of the fabrication Programme/department.
  • Ensure all operatives are working efficiently, consistently and to the required performance levels in order to meet the demands of the fabrication programme/department.
  • Attendance at meetings, as required, to report on the operational status of the department.
  • Liaise with all departments to ensure that the company's requirements are fulfilled.
  • Provide cover for other members of staff as may be required.
  • Assist in the further development of the department and the team members.
  • Proactive approach with regards to continuous improvement and provide feedback on ways to improve the performance of the department and interfaces with it.
  • Ensure that staff are adhering to company rules; monitor sickness and absence management with the assistance of the HR department.
  • Carry out any other duties that may be deemed necessary for the completion of the works by the company and/or the line manager.
