Our Client administers the Principal Civil Service Pension Scheme (PCSPS) and provides pensions to over 1.5 million people. They have in-depth knowledge and expertise in the administration of Defined Benefit pension schemes and provide tailored services to more than 300 Government employers. Also, through their Training and Employee Engagement Service, they offer training on a wide range of pension related topics and legislative change.

They have an exciting opportunity for an Employee Relations Advisor to join their HR team where you will provide a professional and efficient ER service to the business by supporting end to end management of ER cases through to closure.

Working closely with line managers to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, you will use your expertise and technical ER knowledge to ensure all casework is managed in line with our Client’s values and legal framework. Supporting HR colleagues, you will advise, coach and support managers on disciplinary, grievance, absence management and capability related issues whilst confidently analysing ER Data to identify trends and root cause. In addition you will support HR colleagues with change management programmes, including the production of redundancy calculations and employee queries. 

They are looking for someone who is CIPD qualified or part-qualified, who has experience in the management of high-volume ER cases within a fast-paced environment. With a strong understanding of UK employment law and a practical understanding of regulatory industries and governing bodies, you will be able to manage multiple customer requirements and cases simultaneously in an organised manner. Knowledge of TUPE transfers and restructures / change management exercises is desirable and ideal candidates must also have a proactive and practical approach to problem solving, with the desire to get a positive result.

Having excellent attention to detail, as well as outstanding communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure are all essential within this role.  Candidates must be proficient with all Microsoft Office programmes.
